The training at BIPR is rich in attachment theory, the impact of trauma on the brain, and neurobiologically informed psychodynamic psychotherapy. Clients range from very young children to adults. Couples, group and family therapy are also possible. An integral part of the program is intensive work in early childhood including: preschool and nursery school consultation, and early intervention in infant/parent, toddler/parent or preschool child/parent dyads. BIPR makes every attempt to assign cases based on student areas of interest. Research opportunities may be available.
The position is a two-year, approximately 25 hour/week commitment. Students are expected to work 4-6 hours on one weekend day each week. The fellowship begins July 1, 2013. This is an unpaid opportunity.
