Speaker: Cynthia Divino, Ph.D.
This lecture is the third in the Be The Best Parent You Can Be! Monthly Brown Bag Lunch Series
Join us for this lecture which will help you relate to your teen more successfully. We will cover strategies for encouraging your adolescent to talk with you, how you can respond to encourage your teen to share information with you more frequently, and how to encourage good decision-making during the adolescent years. We will draw on the understanding of adolescent brain development to help you interact with your teen to foster maturity, responsibility, and long-term healthy brain development. While parents of teenagers will likely find this information helpful, parents of younger children will find that the information conveyed in this lecture will help you maintain a strong relationship with your adolescent throughout these stormy years. Parents of infants, toddlers, and preschoolers are strongly encouraged to come.
Dr. Divino has been working with children and adolescents for 27 years. She has given her lecture The Adolescent Brain: Staying Calm in Stormy Times a number of times and been given rave reviews both for the understanding of Adolescents and her practical suggestions. Unbelievably, she loved this stage of her children’s development.
