Our corporate partners support queer and trans people fleeing persecution and other LGBTQ+ people in need in their quest to live authentically while demonstrating a strong commitment to equality, diversity, inclusion, equity and innovation. Corporate partners contribute financially to InReach at various investment levels.

EMPLOYEE ENGAGEMENT OPPORTUNITIES

Support InReach’s lifesaving work by purchasing a lunch and learn session, or other customizable employee engagement opportunity. Companies are welcome to purchase a one-time engagement or a series of engagements for a reduced price.

Verification Phone Bank

Host a phone bank at your offices (or remotely with your employees working from home) for an impactful day of volunteering! Employees will complete InReach’s virtual training program before making verification phone calls to direct service providers on the ground to help grow the world’s first tech platform that matches LGBTQ+ people with safe, verified resources.

Remote Hackathon

Host a hackathon at your offices (or remotely with your employees working from home) for a meaningful day of volunteering for your company’s engineers and UX designers.

Remote Translation (Spanish)

Make a difference through translation! Bilingual employees will complete InReach’s virtual training on how to translate LGBTQ+ terminology and perform data entry before leveraging their Spanish language skills for good.

Local Community Reviewers

This volunteer opportunity allows for employees to contribute knowledge of their local community directly to InReach. This is a great volunteer opportunity for LGBTQ+ employee resource groups (ERGs) and other related affinity groups!

Verification Phone Bank

Make phone calls to help ensure safe help is always InReach for the entire, diverse LGBTQ+ community.

  • Flexible hours – we can work with your company to find a remote shift time that works for your group! (*employees will be required to complete InReach’s virtual training program in advance of the phone bank)

InReach’s free tech platform is a SAFE PLACE.

Prior to inclusion on the free InReach App, we verify every direct service provider to be: (1) active and legitimate, (2) LGBTQ+ affirming, and (3) accessible to LGBTQ+ people fleeing persecution, such as those seeking asylum and members of the undocumented community. We also re-verify (repeat our tailored vetting process) every direct service provider listed in our app at least once every 6 months. InReach’s verification process is the most comprehensive available and is essential for ensuring the safety and trust of our userbase.

This engagement opportunity allows employees to learn more about the intersectionality between LGBTQ+ and refugee rights while contributing directly to InReach’s innovative tech platform. 

Employees will complete InReach’s virtual training program before conducting verification outreach (via phone, email and social media) to direct service providers on the ground to help expand the world’s first tech platform matching LGBTQ+ people with safe, verified resources.   • Please be ready with access to computers, internet, and Google Docs or Google Sheets.
  • When prompted by the virtual training program, please also download the Telzio app in advance to easily make free phone calls on behalf of InReach during the phone bank.
  • Best to book 2 weeks in advance.
  • Volunteers should be comfortable talking on the phone and have strong active listening and conversational skills.
  • No prior experience necessary.

Remote Hackathon

Work with InReach to organize a 1-day hackathon to help advance the world’s first tech platform matching LGBTQ+ people with safe, verified resources.

Participating in an InReach hackathon will enable your company’s engineers and UX designers to directly contribute to adding new features and improving the user experience of InReach’s free tech platform used by thousands of queer and trans people fleeing persecution and other LGBTQ+ people in need of safe resources.

  • InReach will share tech onboarding materials with participants before the hackathon so they are prepared to jump into the code.
  • InReach’s tech team will provide a roadmap of priority features/tasks for the hackathon.
  • Please be ready with access to computers, internet, and Google Docs or Google Sheets for collaboration.
  • Best to book 2 weeks in advance.
  • Open to volunteers with professional engineering or UX design skills.
  • Familiarity with InReach’s tech stack is a plus.
    • Current stack: JavaScript / Node, React, React Native, Heroku, MongoDB, Express.js

Remote Translation (Spanish)

This is a unique opportunity to help add native Spanish translations to the world’s first tech platform matching LGBTQ+ people with safe, verified resources.

  • Flexible hours – we can work with your company to find a remote shift time that works for your group! (*employees will be required to complete InReach’s virtual training in advance of performing translation)

Bilingual employees will translate InReach’s resource data (stored in native English) into Spanish using InReach’s custom backend data portal.

  • Bilingual employees will complete InReach’s virtual training covering how to translate LGBTQ+ terminology and how to perform data entry using InReach’s custom data portal 
  • InReach will provide a list of organizations in the data portal that need to be translated from English into Spanish
  • Please be ready with access to computers, internet, and Google Docs or Google Sheets.
  • Best to book 2 weeks in advance.
  • Open to volunteers who are bilingual in English and Spanish.

LOCAL Community Reviewers

We are looking for local LGBTQ+ and allied community members to leverage their local expertise to help us ensure the free InReach App remains as accurate and helpful as possible for their local community.

Volunteers will review the verified organizations listed in the InReach App for their local community and share feedback with the InReach team.

Volunteers will also share their local expertise with our users by writing public reviews on the profile pages of the verified service providers listed in the InReach App, and suggest new affirming organizations in their community for inclusion in the App.

Your employees can volunteer as local Community Reviewers by devoting approximately 2-5 hours per month to InReach (hours are flexible). ERGs can also organize a Marathon Local Community Resource Review Session for an impactful day of volunteering where your employees come together for a day to review the local organizations listed in the InReach App, use their local knowledge to write public reviews on the verified providers listed in their area, and suggest new local resources for inclusion in the App.
