Alex is currently a Case Manager of Mental Health Services for Project Renewal’s Next Step Program where he helps individuals who have a mental health diagnosis obtain the skills and knowledge they need in order to become well-rounded individuals in the workforce. Alex has worked at Project Renewal in various roles where he has provided services to the homeless and low-income population of New York City. Prior to joining Project Renewal, Alex worked for the Hudson Valley Justice Center as an AmeriCorps VISTA where he provided support in fundraising, development, and communications for the organization. Alex has a Masters of Public of Administration from Capella University and received his Bachelors of Science from the University of New Haven.  As a child of immigrant parents, Alex has an understanding of how complex the country’s immigration process and as someone who identifies as being part of the LGBTQ+ community, Alex also understands why it is important for an organization like this to exist.  In his spare time, Alex can be found reading a book, engaging in spirited conversations with friends, and trying to imagine what the future will look like
