Education & Training

Izebel Nani holds a law degree from the Mexican University, with more than ten years of experience in the energy sector as a lawyer in the Legal Department of the Laguna Verde Nuclear Power Plant of the Federal Electricity Commission (CFE) owned by the Mexican Federal Government. She also has a postgraduate degree in Energy from the Institute of Legal Research of the National Autonomous University of Mexico (UNAM). Her interests include the energy sector, migration, LGBTQ+ rights, and the fight to eradicate social and economic inequality in the world, among others. She would love to be a part of the AsylumConnect team. She currently volunteers at TheYoungCenter, which is an advocacy center for the rights and best interests of unaccompanied immigrant children, making sure that wherever they land, be it here in the US or in their home country, they are safe.
