Current Employer & Position Title: The Jed Foundation, Senior Campus Advisor and Data Lead

Kristelle is originally from ‘Aiea, Hawai’I and is currently located in the New York City area working as a Senior Campus Advisor and Data Lead for The Jed Foundation, a nonprofit aimed at promoting emotional health and preventing suicide and high-risk substance use for teens and young adults. Kristelle also volunteers as an Impact Evaluation Specialist at RISE Travel Institute, working to inspire responsible, impactful, sustainable, and ethical travel through education that helps travelers better understand how unsustainable tourism practices place undue strain on local communities, economies, and ecosystems around the world.

Kristelle studied at Washington University in St. Louis, receiving a B.A. in Women, Gender, and Sexuality Studies, as well as an M.S.W. and an M.P.H. with concentrations in sexuality education and social entrepreneurship. Kristelle is excited to bring this passion and professional expertise together on AsylumConnect’s Junior Board.
