Claimed Organizations

What is a ‘claimed’ service provider on InReach?

A claimed service provider page is a profile that has been claimed by a verified representative of the organization through InReach’s verification process. Claiming is free.

When you add a new resource to InReach, it has to be evaluated by our Resource Team before it appears in search results. If you added a resource recently but you can’t find it in search, it’s likely that it still has to be evaluated – please don’t submit the same organization multiple times.

We will sometimes reject a submission if we’re unable to independently verify the resource or if the resource isn’t eligible to be listed on InReach (see below).

The free InReach App includes a wide range of verified services, which we refer to as “resources”, for the diverse LGBTQ+ community. Examples include:

  • “Crisis resources” – emergency housing, food, deportation/removal legal help, mental health hotlines, drop-in centers for LGBTQ+ youth, abortion care, etc.
  • “Quality of life resources” – resources that LGBTQ+ people need to not just survive but thrive, such as local community and social groups, LGBTQ+ community centers, spiritual support, art and music, fitness and recreation, haircuts and stylists, dental care, educational support for LGBTQ+ youth, career counseling, libraries, HIV and sexual health,  language classes, and so much more.

Resources can come in many shapes and sizes. InReach currently lists:

  • Nonprofits
  • Grassroots groups and community organizations
  • Healthcare clinics/systems
  • Doctors/therapists/translators, etc. in private practice
  • Barbershops and affirming hair salons

Examples of ineligible resources (at least for the time being):

  • Resources in countries where InReach is not currently available. (InReach is currently available in the United States, Canada and Mexico.)
  • We’re not currently listing social businesses (such as restaurants, etc.)
