Abby Davies, Resource Coordinator & Translation

Abby (she/her/ella) is an International Development professional and a vocal advocate of immigration & asylum rights, with a focus on people fleeing gender-based violence. She holds a Master of Science in International Development from the University of Edinburgh and a Bachelor of Arts in Latin American Studies and Spanish from the University of Virginia. She has worked for various global non-profit organizations focused on asylum, immigration, anti-trafficking, LGBTQ+ rights, and community development, and has extensive experience working with victims of trauma. She has also worked as a writer, editor, and translator for various transnational organizations. A Washington, DC native, Abby has lived in 5 countries and speaks English, Spanish, Portuguese, and Swahili. In her free time, she loves traveling, learning new languages, and hanging out with her rescue husky mutt from Ecuador, Shaya.
