Glenn McGillivray is currently a Senior Complex Claims Director at AIG in Financial Lines – Directors & Officers, where he investigates and manages a robust portfolio of complex D&O claims relating to securities class actions, shareholder class and derivative actions, and government investigations. Prior to joining AIG, he was a securities litigator for over ten years, where he handled all stages of litigation, including litigating three cases through trial, with the most recent case resulting in the largest post-trial recovery in civil litigation history. Immediately prior, he was a senior associate in the Corporate Governance and Shareholders Rights group in Bernstein Litowitz Berger & Grossmann LLP’s New York office, where he represented institutional shareholders in high-stakes, front-page fiduciary duty litigation relating to mergers and acquisitions. Before that, he was an associate in the Securities Litigation and SEC Enforcement group at Jones Day in New York, where he defended large, multi-national public companies in federal and state securities actions and SEC and other governmental investigations.
Glenn graduated magna cum laude from Villanova University School of Law on a Dean’s Merit Scholarship and was the recipient of the Hyman-Goodman Award, Best Memorandum Award, and the ABA/BNA Award for Excellence in Intellectual Property Law. He also served as Editor-in-Chief of the Villanova Law Review. He graduated magna cum laude from Villanova University, where he received his Bachelor of Arts degree in English.
After graduating law school, Glenn clerked for the Honorable Richard G. Andrews in the U.S. District Court for the District of Delaware.
Glenn previously served on InReach’s Young Professionals Board (fka Junior Board) in 2020 and 2021.
