InReach Wins 2019 Foursquare For Good Challenge!
The work that AsylumConnect (now Inreach) is doing for the LGBTQ+ community is more important now in 2019 than ever before. I am beyond proud to support them in their mission of providing access to care and resources for LGBTQ+ asylum seekers, and that our technology is going to play even a small role in helping them improve the lives of their community of users.

AsylumConnect (now Inreach) named the winner of Foursquareโs second-annual Foursquare for Good program
December 4, 2019 – AsylumConnect (now Inreach) is excited to be recognized as the winner of the 2019 Foursquare For Good Challenge. The award includes a generous $10,000 company donation from Foursquare as well as the chance for AsylumConnect (now Inreach) to work with Foursquare’s engineering team pro bono during 2020 to integrate Foursquare’s sophisticated location technology into AsylumConnect’s (now Inreach) free mobile app for LGBTQ+ asylum seekers.
AsylumConnect (now Inreach) chosen as the winner from over 40 applicants
AsylumConnect (now Inreach) will leverage Foursquareโs Places API to highlight nearby places owned by and/or geared towards LGBTQ+ people per AsylumConnectโs (now Inreach) existing resource database; integrate rich content (e.g. venue ratings, tips and photos) to further empower users with up-to-date information about venues; and enable users to search for venues in the AsylumConnect (now Inreach) mobile app. In the future, AsylumConnect (now Inreach) will also work with Foursquare to explore the potential of using Foursquareโs Pilgrim SDK to enable context-aware, proactive notifications when users are nearby one of the nearly 1,500 services in the AsylumConnect (now Inreach) resource database.
