YPB Service Project Recap: February 2024 

Numerous studies show that Black LGBTQ+ people experience heightened levels of discrimination and difficulty accessing affirming services. In honor of Black History Month, InReach Young Professionals Board (YPB) members took action by researching new Black-led organizations and other organizations focused on serving the Black LGBTQ+ community to add to the free InReach App. 

Project Highlights: 

• 6 YPB members contributed to the project 
• 10 hours of service contributed by the group
• 56 new affirming resources identified during the service project for InReach 

“The February micro-service action was meaningful to me as it highlighted intersectionality and the importance of finding resources that cater to multiple aspects of a person’s identity.
